Had a lot of older siblings, so grew up with folk, rock & roll, and a bit of soul music from late 50s thru late 60s. Lots of mid/late 70s stuff was pretty bad. So was glad that glimmers of rock 'n roll, folk, R&B, and real country saw revival in alternate/independent/underground music of mid 80s. Moonlighted running live sound for original music bands on small label, from 84-94 or so, in central Midwest. I guess they called us cowpunks.

A piano was killed when The Hooten Hallers made “O, Jolene!” honkytonk vid a cupl years ago

The Hooten Hallers "O, Jolene!" Official Music Video

I was not there when they made this at “Joe’s Dome” a geodysic south of Columbia, MO.  Was there for a few late night live privates/after bars b4 and afterwards.   Knew the harp player, at the time, with red sockcap Paul Webber, from some good organic farming work together.  I was 25 yrs older than most,  but can say that nothing bad or scary ever happened to the youngun’s despite their wildness.   Lots of good foods and hugs if anything went wrong.
